Our Basic package is ideal if you are looking for the best value in terms of price, if you are not travelling too far and you are sure that your plans won’t change as Basic. Our basic package cannot be amended, cancelled or refunded but in return offers a great price for car rental. Please note when choosing Green Motion Basic you are required to cover a high excess and deposit which will be fully displayed when searching for the car of your choice. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept debit cards and a credit card will be required.

If you’re looking for a little more flexibility for possible amendments or cancellation, then our Plus+ package will be your best option. With Plus+ you also benefit from a lower deposit and excess alongside cancellation line with the Terms and Conditions. The required excess and deposit will be displayed when searching for the price when you go through the booking process, with no hidden fees. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept debit cards and a credit card will be required.

If you’re looking for additional benefits and flexibility then our Premium package is your best option. Premium offers fantastic value for money, with a low excess and deposit and unlimited mileage throughout your rental. Premium Plus has been tailored to be the most comprehensive product if you are looking for total peace of mind and convenience throughout your rental. Premium Plus offers a hassle-free experience with zero excess and a low deposit, alongside unlimited mileage for the duration of your rental. We’ve also thrown in a few free extras so you can share the driving with someone else by adding an additional driver, or request a GPS or baby-seat free of charge. Premium Plus also includes free cancellation up to 48 hours before the commencement of hire, adding extra flexibility.

As you can see, we have worked hard to deliver an open and transparent way of selecting your next car rental, but we want you to get even more out of your car rental experience. We pride ourselves on offering you fantastic value for money while lending a helping hand to the environment, but in order for you to get the very best from your rental we would ask you to pay special attention to our Terms & Conditions and ensure that you have the necessary identification and paperwork prior to your arrival at your chosen Green Motion location. Please also note we do not accept debit cards and require a valid credit card in the driver’s name.

In addition, prior to the start of your rental it is really important that you take the time and trouble to ensure that the condition of your vehicle is correctly illustrated on either your Rental Agreement and / or the Vehicle Condition Report (VCR) as once you have signed for the condition of the vehicle you may be liable for any damages and this could lead to additional charges. Once again for your further peace of mind we recommend that you take photographs of your hire vehicle showing the registration / plate number, with particular reference to the wheels and tyres as these are one of the most commonly damaged areas of the vehicle.

For further assistance we have produced a brief animation illustrating the most common damage areas of the vehicle (our damage hotspots) and a customer vehicle inspection video to make sure that nothing is missed.

Remember, up to 20% of our hire customers can experience some form of damage during the time they have their rental vehicle. Damage to the vehicle sometimes is not caused by you or anyone with you, but can happen when the vehicle is left alone such as another vehicles door catching it in a car park. Therefore it is important that you fully check the condition of your vehicle before commencing your hire, and total peace of mind we recommend our Premium Plus product which comes with a zero excess.

Registration / Verification

Once you have downloaded the app, please head to the “My Bookings” section where you will be able to undertake the one time registration and verification process. The system will automatically validate your documentation and entitlement to drive, and as such, you will never have to queue at the rental counter again. Please make sure that you have either your passport or country ID card to hand, along with your driving license to ensure that you can complete the registration and validation process with these. Please note that you will need a valid credit card in your name to complete the registration.

Booking your rental car

Once you have completed the one time validation and verification process, you will be able to place a booking at any one of our locations that support the Drive & Go contactless rental service.

Collecting your vehicle

On the day of collection, 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, the app will issue you with your digital key which will allow you to open your vehicle. Go to “My Bookings” section, find your booking and click “Start Collection”. You will find the details of the vehicle you have been allocated and where the vehicle is located. On arrival at your vehicle, utilise the digital key to gain access and we would ask you to check and confirm the odometer (mileage / kilometres) and fuel levels. For your peace of mind, the app will also request you to undertake an inspection of the vehicle where it will show you the current condition. You will be required to verify that you agree to the condition of the car as reported and take photos recording the condition. In the event that you identify any change in the condition, you can simply record this within the app. Once your self inspection has been completed, please digitally sign the rental agreement.

The key to starting your car

Once you have completed the self inspection and signed the rental agreement, the app will automatically enable the ability to switch off the vehicle’s immobiliser and allow you to start your vehicle by pressing the start / stop button within the vehicle.* You can then utilise the digital key contained within the app to start, stop, lock and unlock your vehicle throughout the duration of your hire.

Returning your vehicle

On the return of your vehicle, we would ask you to follow the prompts within your app to manage the return. Complete the odometer (mileage / kilometer) and fuel levels and also record any changes to the condition of the vehicle including taking the requested photographs.

Completing your hire

Once you have completed the return inspection, we would ask you to ensure that you have removed all personal belongings from the vehicle and then lock the vehicle utilising the digital key in the app. Once the vehicle is locked, this will automatically end the vehicle hire and you will receive your final rental agreement / invoice, along with the condition report by email.
