Wiring mess my summer car

honestly how is this supposed to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work. I’ve looked at about 10 youtube videos, a bunch of guides even searching the discussions im completely lost. Main problem is i cant connect the frickin battery’s ground part to anything. like how am i supposed to be able to start a car, when i cant wire my ♥♥♥♥ properly.

Thank you guys for commenting, but wiring is no longer an issue. The issue now is getting the car to start and idle without going bang, still struggling with that part.

do you have a A/F ratio gauge

I would as i said pull it all down to the rocker shaft then go down 25 clicks on each screw and then back up 7 and then try again but do your AF ratio from inside the car just lean forward to hit the screw then your face is close to the AF gauge so you can see your ajustment

the screws will just keep turning they have no real bottom but 25 down clicks will be «bottom» then 7 up on each

scrolling down 25 clicks then up 7 clicks so yes i suppose it would be as you say

Scrolling down makes the screws go clockwise, first screw could only go 12 times up before hitting the limit. 2nd screw could only go up 9 times before hitting the limit. and it’s a similar story with the rest of the screws. This is clockwise btw scrolling down

Edit. I think the method is outdated overall, i reset the 1st screw to original position, and i could only screw anti-clockwise 8 times.

sorry that was my bad i meant the mouse was going counterclockwise on the down and clockwise on the up not the screws

I got that so far, However the screws are physically not able to screw either direction 20+ times, it’s impossible as they hit their limit, i’m starting to suspect that this method is outdated. Also, I checked a guide, and it says to have the engine running, scroll down or up(cant remember) till you hear clicking then down or up once and that’ll do it. However if i even get my engine running, i think the rocker shaft will break on me, as last time i heard the bang and then checked on the engine, the screws were missing.

hmm I had no issue tuning my shaft this way not long ago and i didnt see any changes in the patch notes

Unbolt the 5mm bolt on the starter, then you can connect the ground wire.

ya 19 is bottom or somthing but i always go extra to make sure they hit bottom

Engine was much easier to start once i tuned the carburator and put on some choke. But as said before the Rocker shaft bangs a few times, presumeably blowing the screws away and then stops.

When they are not blown, yes. Also, i ticked them all up, and then one down (mouse wheel)
while tuning the carburator. Engine started after 3 tries and ran for about 30 seconds, still acompanied with the bang, and weird stress noise, and then goes out after that.

Sadly that doesnt work either. I tried going scrolling up till max, then down 7. Then i scrolled down till the limit, then up 7. Neither works.

Odd cause i just did mine and it still starts just scrolled down on my mouse till they stopped then went up 7. is your mouse wheel inverted somehow maybe

I checked the settings it is not inverted. Honestly it would almost be easier adding eachother to discord or something and then stream the game and show what each other is doing.
Could there be other issues to the car having trouble staying idle? Carburator should not be a problem neither distributor, those are straightforward. And i can only tune the Belt when the car is running

My Summer Car

So i built my car, but it won’t start. When I turn the key nothing happen, not even lights work; so it must be an electric problem. What did i miss?

Yes charger needle towards right means lower charge. Test batteries in the car, if one of them even makes oil light turn on in the dash then put battery into the charger and let it charge to half full (needle in the middle = half full)

Batteries drain quite fast in this game, like 4-5days and it’s fully drained. So drive car 2times per week for 5minutes or just idle it on the yard 5 minutes real time, or u can take battery out and charge it half full (until needle is in the middle).

Also remember to close the Satsuma’s doors or otherwise roof/interior light will drain battery even quicker, u can turn light off if u want to keep doors open longer time but it’s easy to forget to do that so it’s better to learn to close the doors.

Did u tighten positive wire nut(size 5) and negative wire bolt (size 7) on starter and wire bolts on battery (size 8)

Just check some wiring tutorial because it’s difficult for us to know what wires could be missing since we can’t see your car.

Both the starter and the battery are tightened, the ingnition is wired

There’s a link with the screenshots in the first post, but i can provide more screenshots if you need.

I followed this tutorial and i checked over and over if i missed something, still the ignition do nothing.
I have fuel, oil and brake fluid.

Do u have wire from battery positive going to harness on the firewall and a wire from harness going to electrics. If the car starts u need wire from alternator to small grey box and from there to battery positive to get battery charging up, otherwise it will drain slowly while driving.

U say battery is new but does it have charge? Put it in the charger and if needle is in the middle or slightly towards right it should be fine(enough to power the starter to get engine started), if needle is all the way to right showing 12v it could be dead and won’t charge up.

If u don’t get starter turning with good battery then there’s some important wires missing etc so doublecheck everything. Starter(part) can break but it should be working in early game.

These wires are needed to get starting sound (starter turning)
1. wire from ignition to fusebox
2. battery positive wire to harness at the firewall
3. battery positive wire to starter, nut(size 5) tightened
4. battery negative wire to starter mount bolt and tightened (size 7)
5. battery cables tightened (size 8)

and battery needs to have enough charge to power the starter

Edit. Wiring is all good now. Game Hards video link really helped. however i cant start the car now, and even if i manage to, it stays on for 5 seconds while constantly going «Bang». Not really sure what to do from here, there are no tutorials mentioning what to do, or how to.

The tutorials i’ve checked so far dont help alot. I only managed to have the distributor set in the correct position. I remember wacthing a video of screwing the stuff under the rocket cover. Except i think that guide was outdated cause all the info didn’t fit with the car. Are you able to find this complete engine build? because i’ve been looking for quite a few days and i always see the same tutorials pop up when searching: They say «Do this» but not how to.

well the rocker is simple just go down 25 clicks then up 7
