In this guide I will introduce you to some mods that in my opinion are the best mods for Assetto Corsa, I will update this list from time to time, so be aware that this guide will be constantly being updated.

This car pack features 2 different cars, the Ferrari 512 Testa Rossa and the Lamborghini Diablo VT. These 2 cars should have just been in the game when buying it, every retro supercar fan knows these 2 icons. The creators (Alberto Daniel Russo who made the 3d models and Jason Coates who did the physics part of the mod) tried to replicate these cars from the Need for Speed series and did a pretty good job in my opinion, the visuals are spot on and they sound suprisingly good for a mod, all and all I think you should at least try these 2 out, and I think they’re a great addition to the game.

This is undoubtably one of the best mods ever created for Assetto Corsa, this is the latest edition of an already great mod, the Seat Leon Eurocup 2014. This one has been further improved though it has updated features such as new preview pictures, new headlights, fixed brake light and lots more. The 2014 cup version had previously been used as a car in league races and other cometitions because of it’s amazing physics co-developed by one of the actual Leon TCR drivers.

The IER Daytona Prototype mod is a pretty unique mod since there really aren’t that much Daytona and Indycar mods for Assetto Corsa. Though I really am not a huge fan of Daytona and Indycars, this mod is so well crafted that I kind of got into it. If you are creative you can do a multi-class race which is something you probably haven’t done in Assetto Corsa, these are just a couple of reasons on why I think this mod is an essential for hardcore Assetto Corsa fans.

I think this mod deserves it’s spot on the list because there is a relatively small GT4 car section in Assetto Corsa. Despite being a relatively slow GT4 car the mod packs a nice punch with grip loss on the rear being progressive within the first few degrees of slip but brutal there after. It’s probably one of the best GT4 cars there is in Assetto and the qualtity of the mod is at Kunos’s level on development. The interior looks great, the oudside of the car is finely detailed and the preview pictures in the menu look great, this one is a definate must have!

Hockenheim is one of my favorite circuits to drive because it suits my favorite class best, 92′ DTM cars. This mod tracks comes with all 4 different lay-outs, the GP lay-out, the National lay-out, the Short1 lay-out and last but not least the Short2 lay-out. The track has 27 pitboxes so you can fit tons of cars on the grid, it has 3d grass and the road surface looks good, with tire marks and cerbs you can feel through your force-feedback steeringwheel.

Again this is one of those classic DTM circuits, but I think it’s just a well suited track for lower powered racecars. Think of GT4, GT3 or the DTM cars when I say this, again the track surface tooks real and feels great and it has 43 pitboxes which is overkill. I have spent a lot of hours lapping this track in my mercedes-benz 190 Evo II, and I think it’s kind of an underrated track too. Pascalwb did an awesome job on this track in my opinion and I think it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

This track has really been expanding into racinggames the last couple of years. Donington Park is an oldschool formula 1 track back in the days of Ayrton Senna, I remember watching him flying past everyone in the first lap and taking pole. This track also is real high in quality, it has 2 different lay-outs featuring it’s GP circuit and it’s nationals circuit, the track has been looked after for over 2 1/2 years now, so they have gotten rid of the big bugs and glitches. It feels like a real Kunos track, I think this track is an absolute must have.

Okayama international Circuit is probably one of the best tracks to drive GT cars on, the shorter Okayama Piper Circuit is probably best suited for lower powered cars, such as the Seat Leon TCR or the Ginetta G55. There is nothing bad to say about this track, the creator back in 2016 couldn’t find a good Okayama mod himself so he decided it was up to him to make this track happen and this is definately one of the higher tier mod tracks, elevation changes have been taken careful thought through and the track mesh is great. This track should be in any sim-racers arsenal.

One mod I think you really should go and download right now is the Assetto Corsa Content Manager. Assetto Corsa Content Manager is a mod that replaces the entire Assetto Corsa UI (User Interface) with one that is much sleeker, faster and easier to navigate. It packs a lot of cool and new features the biggest of all is probably the feature to save presets. This could be saving presets of your settings and races. There is so much to say about content manager it will take me ages to type this out, instead watch this video from Chris Haye on it!

Finding guides is fun and all but if you really want to step up your Assetto Corsa mod arsenal, you have to know where to look. In this short section I will link you a couple of sites and influencers that consistently publish great community mods and don’t forget to give the mod creator some credit as well.

1. Race department Assetto Corsa hub [www.racedepartment.com]
This hub is the most well known and trusted there is, Race Department has been out there for years supplying sim-racers with all kinds of mods for all kinds of racing games. The only downside is that anyone can post mods on here, some might not be as high quality as others. However there are a lot of great mods on this hub, I really suggest to take a look if you have the time.

2. Assetto Corsa Club [assettocorsa.club]
I’ve been using Assetto Corsa Club ever since I started adding mods to my game files. The only critique I’d have is that the quality of some tracks are lacking, the cars are fine however.

As for influencers

1. Chris Haye
I’ve been watching Chris Haye as he was coming up and I really love his content, he runs a sim-racing dedicated channel where he publishes all kinds of sim-racing related stuff on. I suggest you take a look at some of his videos.

2. Random Callsign
Random Callsign posts a lot of videos on Assetto Corsa and considering it’s community mods, enough said. Great source of finding new mods and exploring FreeWare

3. Sim Racing Paddock
Sim Racing Paddock is also a great source of finding mods and other kind of content, they also make entertaining videos.

4. Sim Racing Garage
Now, I haven’t seen a lot of mod reviews from Sim Racing Garage, but he does do some great reviews on sim-racing gear. If you are thinking of getting a new wheelbase or whatever it is, I highly suggest you check Barry Rolands videos out.

5. Sim Racing Source
These guys have a channel very much like Barry’s, pointed towards more of the sim-racing hardwear side of things. All and all, another great source.

5 лучших модов с трассами

Hockenheimring

Трасса Хоккенхайма полюбилась очень многим, потому что она лучше всего подходит популярному классу машин 92′ DTM. В данном моде у трассы есть четыре разных варианта: вариант для Гран-при, вариант для национальных соревнований, и два укороченных варианта Short1 и Short2. На трассе 27 боксов, поэтому вы можете расположить на стартовой сетке целую кучу машин, здесь трехмерная трава и прекрасно прорисованное дорожное покрытие с отметинами от шин и ямками, которые можно почувствовать через руль с активной обратной связью.

Zolder Racetrack

Еще одна классическая трасса серии DTM, но в целом это просто хорошая трасса для не очень мощных машин. Мы имеем в виду GT4, GT3 и DTM. В последние пару лет эта трасса все чаще появляется в гоночных симуляторах. Донингтон-Парк – классическая трасса «Формулы-1» времен Айртона Сенны. Может быть, вы помните, как в 1993 году он ракетой обошел всех на первом круге и взял первое место. Кроме того, эта трасса очень качественно исполнена, у нее есть два варианта, для Гран-при и национальных соревнований. Модификации уже больше 3 лет, так что наиболее существенные глюки и багги уде были исправлены. Она выглядит как настоящая трасса от Kunos и на наш взгляд, проходить мимо нее не стоит.

Okayama International Circuit.

Трасса Okayama International Circuit – пожалуй, одна из лучших трасс для машин серии GT, а более короткая Okayama Piper Curcuit лучше подойдет для машин меньшей мощности, таких как Seat Leon TCR или Ginetta G55. Она расположена в Германии и проходит через маленькую деревушку. Если у вас есть хороший руль с обратной связью, вы можете почувствовать всю неустойчивость положения на булыжной мостовой.

Оставшаяся часть трека кажется старшим братом Нюрбургринга, и эти американские горки отлично подходят для действительно классических машин. Трасса удивительно освежает, и больше об этом шедевре модификации просто нечего сказать. Благодаря качественной работе Fat-Alfie мы получили возможность наслаждаться этой трассой в Assetto Corsa. Все лучшее в виртуальных гонках.

Assetto Corsa Content Manager – модификация, которую стоит скачать немедленно. Она целиком заменяет пользовательский интерфейс Assetto Corsa на более плавный, быстрый и простой в использовании. Did you know that our site started out as a fansite for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? That’s right, and that was back in 2001 when the site launched under the name «Morrowind Chronicles» in anticipation of and leading up to the game’s release exactly 20 years ag.

As some of you may already be aware, the Bethesda.net launcher is being shut down next month and players are being offered the chance to migrate their games and other content to Steam.

Luckily, Bethesda has already made both the Fallout 4 and Skyrim Sp.

Starfield, the first game in a brand new series from Bethesda Game Studios, is coming to PC and Xbox in November and while that may seem to be a long way off yet, we’re already excitedly preparing for the release.

Update 12 May 2022: Bethesda has announced on Twitter that Starfield has been delayed until the first half of 2023.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, Starfield is going to be the debut entry in an entirely new franchise and marks the first single-player RPG.

In the feature, we are looking at a very special project for the game Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod in question is called «Life in Calradia» by the author OneDrop. If you haven’t played Bannerlord, it is a medieval-style action strategy game involving the huge world map of Calradia, several factions inspired by human history, hundreds of Nobles, and an assortment of beautifully created towns, castles, and villages.

However, those of you who have played will know that one.

Earlier this year, we put out a call for a new Community Manager to join our team at Nexus Mods. We completed the hiring process for the new CM in June and our new recruit has since been eagerly working away in the background, helping us manage the day-to-day of running the website, and learning the ropes. Assetto corsa car mods

The original TZ was developed together with Autodelta. It featured a 1,570cc twin cam engine and other mechanical components shared with the Alfa Romeo Giulia. It carried a 105 series chassis number, but was a purpose built sports racing car, with a tubular spaceframe chassis, light all-aluminium bodywork, disc brakes and independent suspension. The result was a lightweight coupé of only 660 kilograms (1,452 lb) and top speed of 134 miles per hour (216 km/h). This model is based on a 1965 version of the car, and is great to race against over vintage sportcars like the Ferrari 250 GTO.

The Caterham Academy is a motor-racing championship exclusively open to novices, as their first foray into motorsport. They have a 125bhp Ford Sigma engine with 5 speed gearbox. The cars are extremely fun to drive as they are incredibly light and nimble. The car tends to oversteer a lot, making it fun have the car sideways through many corners. You can also smash the kerbs in these cars as the suspension is extremely soft. This mod does the cars justice and results in close, fun racing.

So someone decided it would be a good idea to through a Formula 1 engine in a BMW E36. What a brilliant idea it was! This car is absolutely insane to drive. The shear speed and grip of this car is outstanding, and backed up by the V8 howl of the JUDD Formula 1 engine gives you a rush a adrenaline while driving. The car is best to drive up hill climb courses, or tarmac rally stages like I have done in the test run.

In the 1990s the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) far outgrew it status as a national racing series with its spectacular races reaching massive audiences around the globe. The ‘Super Touring’ two-litre regulations made the BTCC a very attractive prospect for many of the major manufacturers, who could race their top selling four-door models against their direct competitors. Vauxhall, Audi, BMW, Renault, Honda, Volvo and Peugeot were but a few of the manufacturers that lined up for BTCC races.

The Williams FW26 was a car designed and built by Williams F1 for the 2004 Formula One season. The team finished in 4th place in the constructors championship at the end of the season, dissappointed with the car only winning the final race of the season. The cars were disqualified from second and fifth-place finishes in Canada for running brakes that infringed the technical regulations, and Schumacher suffered a heavy crash at Indianapolis, sidelining him for three months. His replacements, Marc Gené and Antônio Pizzonia could do little with the car and it was left to Montoya to defend Williams’s honour.

Hefty box. Has everything it should, so 4x LODs, dirt/damage, interior/exterior lights, proper animations (with a few extras), the full shebang. Its still a van mind you, so don’t get your hopes up. As for ‘that’ Nordschleife time, don’t expect to beat it straight away. Remember this is the ‘pre-modified’ version; which means no weight or drag reduction, no slipstream to follow, and no pro-driver pedalling it. So you should be aiming for the 10:23, not the 10:08. Maybe a little faster as we don’t have plebs in Porsche’s to navigate passed. The quality of this mod is absolutely outstanding and even if you find slow cars dull you will still appreciate the effort that has gone into this.

The Jordan 191 was a Formula One car designed by Gary Anderson for use by Jordan Grand Prix in its debut season in 1991. Its best finish was in Canada and Mexico, where Andrea de Cesaris drove it to fourth place at both races. The car/livery however, is most famous for the debut of the 7 time world champion Michael Schumacher at the 1991 Belgian GP. The German’s luck however would run dry just after Eau Rouge when his clutch failed. This car is very difficult to drive, and challenging to master.

The Renault Sport R.S. 01 is a racing car manufactured by Renault Sport. The R.S. 01 was originally used to compete in Renault Sport Trophy, Renault’s one-make racing series, but was expanded to GT3. The R.S. 01 is the most powerful one-make racer built by Renault. The R.S. 01 has a 3.8-liter VR38DETT twin-turbocharged 24-valve V6 engine sourced from the Nissan GT-R.

The Williams FW31 is a Formula One motor racing car, designed and built by WilliamsF1. It was a mid-field runner, in contention for points on many occasions when driven by Rosberg, but rarely contending for podiums. They finished 7th in the constructors standings with this car, mainly due to Nakajima not performing.

Driven by the Frenchman Alain Prost «The Professor» and the Brazilian legend Ayrton Senna, the MP4/4 won 15 of the 16 races that season. Ayrton Senna won his first of three world championship with this amazing car. This car is one of the most dominant in Formula One history. There are also 4 chassis upgrades in this mod with all the different versions of the car that were used during the 1988 season.

This track is a brilliant attempt at recreating the classic Donnington Park Grand Prix Circuit from the 1930s. I’ve placed the track at number 10 on the list due to the fact that there are currently no cars from the 1930s and 1940s that you can race on this track.

This is a short hillclimb course that is fun in almost every car in the game. The course starts with a flat out straight through the tree line which leads into a left hander that gradually tightens, making it hard to find the right braking point. Around the middle of the course there is a long right hander that is hard to find the correct balance of speed/understeer. Along with the incredibly thin track surface and the amount of trackside objects you could collide with makes this short track extremely challenging to master.

Aspertsham isn’t exactly a race track, or a hillclimb for that matter. It is just a few public roads in the countryside of Bavaria. The ‘track’ is made with great attention to detail and is a joy to drive around. It is great for testing out road cars and funny blasting some race cars around the thin roads too.

Croft is a circuit located near Dalton-on-Tees in North Yorkshire, England. It is most famous for hosting the BTCC every year. The circuit is just over 2 miles (3 km) long and is based on the lands of an airfield, but has long since moved on from being a basic airfield circuit. The circuit has lots of fast turns that are great fun to just chuck a car into fully sideways. The track then winds down to a really tight final hairpin corner. This is a massive contrast to the full speed sweepers but it really works well.

Built in 1957 the Bridgehampton Race Circuit was located in the heart of the Hamptons on Long Island NY. It was in operation until 1997 when ever growing public displeasure with the track caused it to be converted to a golf course. This track is modeled after the later years around the late 80’s and early 90’s when wild grass was everywhere and the trees were tall.

This track comes in halfway down my list. Goodwood is an insanely fast track with almost every corner challenging you and the car to the limit. The quality of this version in very good, and great fun to drive around. The download also comes with a wet version of the track which is unique as AC doesn’t have wet weather. It is also fun to host your own Goodwood Revival or Members Meeting as well.

This track is a conversion. Usually conversions are never up to the standard of the game they are converted for. But this track really shines above the rest. I quality of the scenary, terrain, track detail and track side objects are really good. The track is great fun to drive in classic endurance cars from the 60s and 70s. The AI however aren’t optimised for AC which can be annoying, but there are mods you can download that improve them slightly. Due to this reason, the track comes in at number 4.

The Feldbergring circuit was used from 1950-1954. It was 11.6km long and held on public roads, with a height differential of 280m. It was used for the German Motorcycle Championship, as well as single-seater sports cars. This track is most suited to vintage cars, but it can also be great fun with more modern cars too. The circuit boasts 40,125 trees, 28 different plant types, and ambient shadows added to most track-side objects, making the quality of the circuit absolutely outstanding. The track is very long but has a great flow to it, over the undulating German countryside.

Glava Zete is a hillclimb based in Bogetici, Montenegro. The climb is 4.31 miles (6.95km) long, with fast turns, blind turns and slow hairpins. It is a real challenge to master as there are so many misleading turns. Once mastered, the climb is a joy to drive in every car as you are able to do everything you want. You can go flat out in a down a long straight halfway up the hill, you can drift around the hairpins and test out the handling through the medium speed turns inbetween. It is a true car tester.

Thomson Road is a street circuit, half of it a twisty old road through the jungle, and the other half a newer, straighter section. It was used between 1961 and 1973, when it was cancelled due to financial and safety issues. It was badged as the Orient Year Grand Prix, the Malaysian Grand Prix and finally the Singapore Grand Prix once Singapore gained its independence. It measured just over 3 miles in length, or 4.865km, and featured sections such as The Murder Mile (the main straight which had a hump halfway along its length which caused the cars to take off at high speed), The Snakes (a series of twists and turns as the track climbed up through the jungle) and Devil’s Bend (the most dangerous corner on the circuit). Seven lives were lost in the circuit’s 11 year history. There were no run-off areas, and most of the fast bends were surrounded by trees. This mod is absolutely outstanding, and you will love the track as soon as you drive it. Made by the same modder that made the Feldbergring circuit that was number 3 on my list. I can’t wait to see what this guy will produce next!

Morrowind is turning 20 today! To celebrate this anniversary, our good friend darkelfguy is running a special edition of his yearly Morrowind May Modathon and we’re also giving away fabulous prizes in our Morrowind quiz!

Did you know that our site started out as a fansite for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? That’s right, and that was back in 2001 when the site launched under the name «Morrowind Chronicles» in anticipation of and leading up to the game’s release exactly 20 years ag.

As some of you may already be aware, the Bethesda.net launcher is being shut down next month and players are being offered the chance to migrate their games and other content to Steam.

Luckily, Bethesda has already made both the Fallout 4 and Skyrim Sp.

Starfield, the first game in a brand new series from Bethesda Game Studios, is coming to PC and Xbox in November and while that may seem to be a long way off yet, we’re already excitedly preparing for the release.

Update 12 May 2022: Bethesda has announced on Twitter that Starfield has been delayed until the first half of 2023.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, Starfield is going to be the debut entry in an entirely new franchise and marks the first single-player RPG.

In the feature, we are looking at a very special project for the game Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod in question is called «Life in Calradia» by the author OneDrop. If you haven’t played Bannerlord, it is a medieval-style action strategy game involving the huge world map of Calradia, several factions inspired by human history, hundreds of Nobles, and an assortment of beautifully created towns, castles, and villages.

However, those of you who have played will know that one.

I’m sure you’re all aware of the horrible assault on Ukraine that started on 24 February. Along with the leadership and people of the vast majority of countries in the world, we strongly condemn this unprovoked attack on another sovereign nation at the orders of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Fallout: London is a highly ambitious project aimed at creating the city of London (post-apocalypse of course) in Fallout 4. They have been showcasing their development since their announcement and have recently released a gameplay trailer. Morrowind is turning 20 today! To celebrate this anniversary, our good friend darkelfguy is running a special edition of his yearly Morrowind May Modathon and we’re also giving away fabulous prizes in our Morrowind quiz!

Did you know that our site started out as a fansite for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? That’s right, and that was back in 2001 when the site launched under the name «Morrowind Chronicles» in anticipation of and leading up to the game’s release exactly 20 years ag.

As some of you may already be aware, the Bethesda.net launcher is being shut down next month and players are being offered the chance to migrate their games and other content to Steam.

Luckily, Bethesda has already made both the Fallout 4 and Skyrim Sp.

Starfield, the first game in a brand new series from Bethesda Game Studios, is coming to PC and Xbox in November and while that may seem to be a long way off yet, we’re already excitedly preparing for the release.

Update 12 May 2022: Bethesda has announced on Twitter that Starfield has been delayed until the first half of 2023.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, Starfield is going to be the debut entry in an entirely new franchise and marks the first single-player RPG.

Applications are now closed for this position.

With 20 full-time staff now working from the Nexus Mods office in Exeter, we’re on the lookout for someone who can help us with the day to day running of our office space, looking after all of us and our beloved workplace.

We’re naming this role the «Office Manager» role, however, it will involve a range of different tasks that could fit into all sorts of job descriptions, including «Facilities Manager».

Two weeks ago, we launched a donation drive to raise funds and support the Red Cross in its mission to bring medical aid to the people of Ukraine suffering the consequences of an unprovoked attack on their country.

In the feature, we are looking at a very special project for the game Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod in question is called «Life in Calradia» by the author OneDrop. If you haven’t played Bannerlord, it is a medieval-style action strategy game involving the huge world map of Calradia, several factions inspired by human history, hundreds of Nobles, and an assortment of beautifully created towns, castles, and villages.

However, those of you who have played will know that one.

I’m sure you’re all aware of the horrible assault on Ukraine that started on 24 February. Along with the leadership and people of the vast majority of countries in the world, we strongly condemn this unprovoked attack on another sovereign nation at the orders of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

At this moment the people of Ukraine are suffering the consequences of Putin’s war of aggression which is bringing nothing but death, destruction, and displacement to countless familie.

It’s time to reveal the answers and announce the winners of our quiz which we launched two weeks ago. Thousands of you participated, and I’m sure you can’t wait to see how well you did in the quiz.

Happy (belated) new year everyone! For most people around the world, 2021 was still very much a year affected by the pandemic, so it probably won’t make its way into any «Top 10 Best Years Ever» lists anytime soon. Looking at our site usage data and overall statistics, however, 2021 was indeed a very good year in terms of site growth. We’re happy to say we’re now serving more users and hosting more mods for many more games!

Today, our upcoming Collections feature is moving into the Open Alpha testing phase. This means we’re extending an open invitation to anyone in the community who would like to try out an early build of the system so that we can continue to fine-tune it for the full, public release.

This new wave of volunteers will join our existing testers who have already provided lots of incredibly valuable feedback over the past few months to help us in shaping the core experience of the Collectio.

As a quick refresher, between 10 August and 10 October 2021, we opened three categories to enter into the prize draw.

Last week, season 2 of the Witcher launched on Netflix and just like when the first season came out back in 2019, we’re happy to see that many of you have returned to, or started, modding The Witcher 3.

So that you can join in on the fun, and to celebrate the occasion, we are giving away 10x GOG keys for The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition.
