Много интересного узнаёшь о песне, когда читаешь её перевод. Я хоть и нормально владею инглишем, но такого и предположить не мог. Итак, русский текст «In the death car». Читаем и офигеваем.

Горан Брегович (сербохорв. Горан Бреговић, Goran Bregović; родился 22 марта 1950 в Сараеве, Босния и Герцеговина, тогда Югославия) — музыкант и композитор, широко известный в странах восточной Европы по рок-группе Bijelo Dugme, а также во всём мире как автор музыки к фильмам, среди которых несколько фильмов Эмира Кустурицы.

Считает себя югославом, аргументируя это тем, что его отец хорватского происхождения (католик), мать — сербского (православная), а жена — боснийка (мусульманка). Его отец был офицером ЮНА. После развода родителей жил с матерью в Сараево. Ныне живёт в Париже с женой Дженаной Суджукой (Dženana Sudžuka) и тремя дочерьми.

Игги Поп (англ. Iggy Pop, настоящее имя James Newell Osterberg, Jr. — Джеймс Ньюэл Остерберг младший) — американский рок-вокалист, один из зачинателей и гуру альтернативного рока. За вклад в развитие рок-альтернативы его величают «крёстным отцом» (иногда «дедушкой») панк-рока и гранжа. С 1990-х много снимается в кино.

Джеймс Ньюэлл Остерберг родился 21 апреля 1947 г. в г. Ипсиланти, штат Мичиган. Если верить опубликованной музыкантом в 1982 году автобиографии, его с детства завораживали монотонные звуки электробритвы отца и конвейера на местном заводе. Прозвище «Игги» ему дали Майкл Эрлевайн и прочие товарищи по группе «Prime Movers» за то, что Остерберг прежде играл в команде The Iguanas.
