This mod allows you to ‘replace’ the character vehicles.

How it works:
Whenever the script detects either Micheal’s Tailgator, Franklin’s Buffalo or Trevor’s Bodhi, it is removed and your saved vehicle is spawned in it’s place.

Usage:
Press Numpad0 to set the saved vehicle, the vehicle is only saved to the player you are currently using.
You can also press Numpad5 to toggle the mod on and off for cases such as missions where the default car is required.

Installation instructions:
Copy ReplaceCharVeh.net.dll & ReplaceCharVeh.cfg to the scripts folder in your GTA5 directory.

Uninstallation instructions:
Delete ReplaceCharVeh.net.dll from the scripts folder in your GTA5 directory.

Config instructions:
-CheckDistance = Distance that the game will look for default player vehicles, setting this very high may cause performance issues
-SaveKey = The key to save vehicle
-ToggleModKey = The key used to toggle the mod

Вам надоел стандартный транспорт в GTA 5, и вы хотите заменить некоторый или даже весь на новый, выбранный лично? Из этой инструкции вы узнаете, как установить в ГТА 5 машины методом замены – Replace.

В статье будет в основном говориться об автомобилях, но имейте в виду – всё описанное полностью подходит и для любых других видов транспорта: самолёты, вертолёты, истребители, корабли, лодки, мотоциклы, велосипеды, танки и т.д.

Что такое Replace метод замены машин в GTA 5?

Метод Replace подразумевает под собой полную замену модели. Потому установив такой мод, стандартная машина или другой транспорт будет полностью заменён на новый, выбранный вами.

Если вы хотите использовать полную замену, чтобы NPC ездили по городу на новых, добавленных вами машинах, то читайте далее подробное описание установки таких машин в GTA 5.

Если же вам будет достаточно добавить в игру желаемую модель транспортного средства, как дополнение, на котором ездить сможете только вы, не изменяя саму игру, то предлагаем обратить внимание на Add-On метод добавления машин.

Приступаем к настройке программы и замене машины

Заменить старую машину на новую методом Replace достаточно легко и необходимо проделать всего несколько действий, которые подробно описаны ниже.

Установка и настройка программы

Должен быть установлен Script Hook V и для всех действий понадобится всего одна программа – скачать OpenIV.

1. Устанавливаем программу.
2. Выбираем «Grand Theft Auto V – Windows».
3. Выбираем папку с установленной игрой.

4. В окошке программы жмем кнопку «Редактирование».
5. Переходим в «Инструменты – ASI менеджер» и убеждаемся, что там установлены «ASI Loader и OpenIV.ASI». Если не установлены – жмите установить.
6. После установки OpenIV.ASI появится предложение создать папку «mods» – жмите «Да».

Замена машины

Приступим непосредственно к установке новой машины. Тут сразу нужно отметить, что все действия проделываются в OpenIV и в целом установка полностью стандартная, но для каждой машины или другого вида транспорта, могут быть разные пути для замены оригинальных файлов на новые с вашей моделью автомобиля. Потому с модификацией обычно идёт файл «Readme», в котором описаны все нужные параметры.

Приступаем к замене:

Открываем архив с файлами и читаем «Readme», обязательно обращайте внимание именно на пункты для «Replace» метода, если там описаны и другие виды установки.

В нашем случае написано следующее:

1. Перейти по адресу: GTA V \ mods \ x64e.rpf \ levels \ gta5 \ vehicles.rpf.
2. Заменить файлы: «vacca.ytd, vacca.yft, vacca_hi.yft». Для этого просто перенесите их в открытое окошко, и они автоматически обновятся на новые.
3. Теперь переходим: GTA V \ mods \ update \ update.rpf \ common \ data. И там открываем в режиме редактирования «handling.meta». Поиском ищем «vacca» и изменяем оригинальные строки с эквивалентными именами на:

Тут нужно отметить, что старая машина была заменена на новую в ГТА 5 ещё на первом и втором пункте, а третий отвечает только за характеристики.

Что обязательно нужно знать?

Как вы могли заметить, в адресах присутствует папка «mods». Эту папку мы создали ещё при настройке OpenIV, но изначально она будет пуста – пути, описанные для замены машины в ГТА 5 в ней отсутствуют.

Потому перед добавлением параметров, нужно в боковом меню OpenIV найти оригинальный файл x64e.rpf, и когда на него нажмёте, то увидите красный баннер, в нём нажмите кнопку: «Копировать в папку “mods”». С файлом «update.rpf», который описан в третьем пункте проделываем то же самое.

Дополнительная информация

Для каждого мода на машину, которую вы хотите добавить в GTA 5 Replace методом, пути могут отличаться, но обязательно перед изменением добавляйте нужные файлы в папку «mods», даже если путь в «Readme» написан без неё.

Вы конечно же можете для каждого транспорта проделывать замену без этой папки, но тогда затронете оригинальные файлы игры, а этого лучше не делать, чтобы если что-то пойдёт не так или захотите отменить изменения, достаточно было бы только удалить копию файла из созданной папки «модс».

Как найти машину?

Машины, добавленные в игру таким методом, будут ездить по городу, как и все остальные, вам остаётся только встретить её. Также вы можете использовать трейнеры и другие программы, которые позволяют спавнить транспорт прямо к вам.

Прежде чем скачать моды для ГТА 5, машины нужно выбрать, и вот тут многие другие площадки оказываются крайне неудобными из-за того, что модификации там “навалены” в единую кучу, и найти что-то определенное в ней затруднительно.

Например, если вы не хотите выбирать по одной машине, то можете воспользоваться тематическими сборниками. Тут есть и коллекции авто определенных марок, сборники русских машин и даже шуточные моды с самыми разными забавными транспортными средствами.

К слову, некоторые моды представляют собой машины для для ГТА 5 с автоматической установкой, их вообще можно установить буквально в несколько кликов. Но, как правило, большинство модов приходится устанавливать вручную, пусть даже в этом нет ничего особенно сложного.

Для того, чтобы правильно устанавливать моды, следует понимать, какими они бывают. Как и во многих других компьютерных играх, в Grand Theft Auto 5 большинство пользовательских модификаций работают за счет подмены оригинальных файлов. Таким образом, многие машины, добавляемые с помощью модов, по сути заменяют собой автомобили из стандартной версии игры.

В файловом архиве LibertyCity.ru всегда приводится полный список заменяемых файлов. Перед установкой мода следует сохранить их резервные копии, чтобы при желании можно было вернуться все в изначальный вид.

Однако многие современные модификации не заменяют контент игры, а расширяют его. Такие аддоны хороши тем, что они не заставляют вас выбирать, какую машину заменить. Вместо этого они не трогают оригиналы и действуют автономно.

Узнать о том, как работает мод, можно из краткой сводки на странице этого мода, а все дополнительные детали приводятся в описании. Там авторы нередко составляют списки основных возможностей машины: бьются ли стекла, можно ли их прострелить, анимирован ли руль и многие другие особенности.

1. Put the folder into mods>x64>dlcpacks
2. Drop dlcpacks:\replacecars\ into the dlclist xml and put it back after you’ve done that into update>update.rpf>common>data

3. put any replace car you like into vehicles.rpf

Don’t forget to push yourself a little to understand how to edit and combine the DLC from my EMF Addon Folder Mod.

For those who don’t get it how this works:

1. download a car (example: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/2016-bmw-750li )
2. Choose replace method
3. Take all car files and put it into vehicles.rpf
4. copy dlc list
5. You’re done! Enjoy

will this work with police cars?

i tried installing one police car and it worked fine. as soon as i installed 2 the game crashed.

@gtamodde3r Of course it will work with Police Cars, example its made for Replacer cars only

@Trevor redneck This is a replace folder for cars which means you can put replacer cars inside here

@Trevor redneck this is something as when R* make update and you had for example patchday18 last and now you will have patchday19, where was XXcarmodel XYcarmodel etc updated. That mean if you are going replace car XX, you need replace it only in patchday19 folder, dont need replace it in for example patchday15, where it was before. It means, when you have newer folder with same item, game count last craeted folder for loading. so when you have Blista in 4 different patchday folders, but you add it to this new craeted folder, game will load it from this folder

I have a bug report. when the rpf archive surpass 4.5GB and you close the openiv and open again the whole file get corrupted and you loss all the cars.
have a way to get rid of it?
nice mod though, it’s come in handy

forget the coment above, I figure out what to do. just put half of the files in a replacecar 2 folder and change de dlc.xml file and all work well

@CLARENCE Do you maybe know what to do when game takes handling.meta and vehicles.meta from the origin path not from «replacecars» dlc?

I think my question is similar to adinhoa- I was going to ask if this was compatible with «Tuning» mods. IE. you may have a mod that replaces blista with XX, but they didn’t change the tuning or it sucks because they didn’t know what they were doing. then you find there’s a separate mod that says «correct handling and speed for XX». will it work in this situation?

Also, if I have a mods folder, should I copy the vehicles.rpf into the mods folder, and then do steps 1-5 above?

@ClarenceCallahan Can confirm this works. Added a car to replace asterope and was able to spawn. As far as getting the custom handling to work, I use a mods folder so you have to add the custom handling information into «Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\handling.meta».

Now my only question is, can I edit the name? I hate that it says Asterope when I enter my 2018 Honda Accord.

@nasch007 You can edit the name. But I would prefer using my Addon Cars DLC. Because this only works for Replace Vehicles

@adinhoa I had to use a copy of the «update.rpf». had to add the handling info into Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\handling.meta

If it should be reading handling info from replacecars in the dlcpacks then I agree, that part did not work.

I noticed that it is NOT in fact reading from the handling.meta or vehicles.meta from inside the replacecars folder. It picks up the ytm(?) and ytd, but I noticed although the (?) was set to 1.0 in that handling.meta, it was still rear wheel drive during the game. It wasn’t until I edited the handling.meta inside of mods/update/update.rpf and pasted the handling characteristics there, that the RWD actually changed.

There are only a few cars that I want that are currently replace only, so I figure this will work until I learn to convert from Replace > Add-On. but yeah like adinhoa says I don’t think it’s reading all the files from inside the replacecars/dlc.rpf correctly.

Hope that makes sense, I’m at work away from my computer right now so I’m trying to explain as best I can without having it right in front of me. Note I am well versed with computers and modding other games, but I am new to GTAV so it could indeed be user error. Not likely but could be.

so edits all around for it, good balanced car.

This mod changes the handling of various addon or replace cars found here on gta5mods. All cars have improved braking, better grip, faster acceleration and more top speed. Some cars have decent drifting and a couple have really good power sliding/drift added to it but still functions as a normal car. This is in a text format as vehicles are found in multiple different locations and also depends if you did the addon or replace method on the vehicle. NO cars included this is just
the handling info for each car.

All cars are tested with no upgrades from LSC Customs they are plenty fast with better brakes. if you have a different version number or same car made by another mod author it should act the same way as intended. Dont mess with the fmass values I increased them on purpose for better stability for power sliding corners and its better for when ramming or hitting other cars as well. when doing some of the highway races around town you will notice the increased fmass you dont flip over the side of the freeway/highway. you will just bounce off the wall instead of going over the side of it.

This was a good idea at start, but the flood of new cars will soon make it obsolete, or it will evolve to matrix for adding new cars without replacing old ones. Anyway, this is like a grandma’s secret cookie recipe. Try to edit this or replace cars with your own, but be aware, modding V is a bitch.

This is completely standalone DLC with only two cars, for now, but I will work on it and gather permissions from other authors for this project. At the moment, a lot of people are scared of buggy, beta or incomplete cars and they are hesitating to replace their original cars. This is a temporary solution to test those cars without touching original archives. The only addition to update/update.rpf are paths to this DLC. For now, I have problems adding third car without touching update.rpf, but when I resolve it, this will be the new added cars (newveh) mod like in good old GTA IV. I have problems with cloning settings for many cars because of original vehicles.ymt, which is coded and I have only few DLC cars to imitate.

BACKUP. first your update/update.rpf and then add 3 files from my archive as they are sorted in folders. Add the DLC and that’s it. My handling is optional, but use it if you have any problems. Spawn the cars by name: avent or f430, or with included sjaak327 trainer.ini as car slots 5 and 6. Cars are parked on last floor in my garages, included in this archive too. You will need those two mods probably, and the links are:
